What's your superpower? / What do you want it to be? 

I've always wanted the utterly useless but totally awesome ability to record and re-watch my dreams. I have the craziest dreams. Though this might be more of a device I need to invent and less of a superpower I need to gain... in that case, definitely teleportation. My Harry Potter filled childhood always made me really bummed I couldn't apparate whenever I wanted to go somewhere. 

How do you express gratitude? 

By practicing kindness to loved ones, to strangers, to myself. By experiencing life to the fullest and reminding myself every day not to take anything for granted. 

Why do you share yoga? 

Yoga can benefit absolutely anyone. Whether it's closing your eyes, sitting up tall, and taking 10 deep breaths in the middle of a stressful work day, practicing advanced asana every day, or anything in between, yoga has so much to offer us all. I love to have the opportunity to share the endless benefits of yoga to my community. 

What's your favorite pose? Why? 

Supta bada konasana or reclined butterfly pose...with a big pile of props. It's supportive & anchoring, meditative & down-regulating, but also a vulnerable heart opener when you support the spine with a bolster(or blanket, or blocks). So yummy. 

When was the last time you laughed out loud? 

Today, playing with my freaking awesome pup Thibodaux. He tells great jokes. Har har. 

What always makes you smile? 

Surprising friendly interactions with strangers. I love sharing a moment with someone I don't know and may not ever see again. Those little gems of moments are like a breath of fresh air from whatever circumstance you exist in and such a sweet reminder that we're all connected. 

What does flow mean to you? 

Breath. Release. Rejuvenation. There's something about that fleeting dance we sometimes find between breath and movement that is so rich and fulfilling. It's food for the mind, body, and soul.

What can our TGY friends expect from your class? 

Acceptance to be yourself, to be unique, and to do what works for you in a supported environment. Safe but challenging alignment based asana alongside pranayama, philosophy and meditation. Breath, intention, sweat, movement, challenge and laughter.
