My personal practice began in 2008 and in 2102, in the midst of the chaos of graduate school, I found a place of solace and an outlet for artistic expression through teaching. I completed by 200hr training under the tutelage of Peach Friedman and have had the honor of assisting with teacher training. My classes are alignment based and seek to explore the intersection between our physical and emotional experiences, because what would be more sacred than divining into the moment by honoring and tuning the body?
What's your superpower? / What do you want it to be?
Time manipulation. I don’t know about you but there are times I am completely overcome by the beauty in a moment and wish I could savor it for a second longer.
How do you express gratitude?
By slowing down! Until I learn how to pause time, taking a breath and noticing all the good that exists in this impermanent moment is the best way I can show up and give myself fully to my work, my family, my practice, and myself.
Why do you share yoga
To me it is an act of radical love to practice as a community and having the honor to guide others in finding their flow is totally awesome.
What's your favorite pose? Why?
Oh gosh, my body and practice are so different every day. I could never pick just one!
When was the last time you laughed out loud?
Today, watching my baby boy try Pho for the first time and declaring it may just be the best thing he has ever tasted off of a spoon!
What always makes you smile?
The sound of leaves rustling in the wind and the look in my baby’s eyes when we are reunited.
What does flow mean to you?
Assurance, acceptance, and submission that all will unfold as it should.
