What's your superpower? / What do you want it to be?
my real life superpower is my healing massage hands... hands up if you want a pigeon adjustment! My superpower i always dream of having, is to FLY. i love nothing more than skydiving for both the adrenaline rush and the bird’s eye view that i otherwise never get to see. Those things would never get old, and not to mention i would never have to wait in traffic!!!
How do you express gratitude?
i go to yoga, drink more water, and take a gratitude shower. Every drop of water that touches a part of my body, i give thanks to. for my hair. my eyes. and my legs. this is a simple way to express and truly FEEL gratitude.
Why do you share yoga?
i share yoga because i want everyone to have the opportunity to experience a savasana with one, small ,quiet, still, whisper of a moment, where the mind is not spinning, but only resting and at ease.
What's your favorite pose? Why?
EASY. supported bridge pose. the instant release from the low back and hips after a yummy flow practice is the most rewarding.
When was the last time you laughed out loud?
Yesterday, i got tickled on the feet. tickling ALWAYS means an audible laughter for me. the tickle monster is a REAL thing!!!
What always makes you smile?
babies. they are the most fascinating thing to stare at (and smile at!!). i love new life.
What does flow mean to you?
flow is easy going, non-forceful, and non-egoic. flow is infinite. always growing, and changing. always, always.
What can our TGY friends expect from your class?
Frances brings a high-energy, alignment-based, practice with challenging asanas but always offers modifications to support any journey. She specializes in arm balances and inversions and encourages hers students to get upside down and play. Frances loves supported postures to close out practice, so always have two blocks near by! :)
